Title: Programming C#, 4th Edition

Rating: 5/5

Best programming book I've read in a while

This is an outstanding introduction to the language and some (but not necessarily all) implementation scenarios (windows forms, web forms, etc). Great review of fundamentals, too, which we all must pay attention to.
Some reviewers complain that this isn't 'in-depth' enough. Well, C# is a new language for a new platform. Should one expect a writer to understand and examine the nuances, tips/tricks, etc. that typically characterize an 'in-depth' analysis? Not in my opinion. Instead, Jesse Liberty tells you what you need to know to be productive right away, in a clear, lucid style.

Great Book

The "Advanced CORBA Programming with C++" is a good book. It covers in-depth the memory management, CORBA, as well the potential reasons for possible crashes. In the software development process, software architects, software designer and software developers should read this book. The only leak I found is the chapter about multithreading. It would be nice if in the next edition, the authors will cover in-depth also this subject. Thanks for this book. Romain Cloos; MSc Computer Science; Société Européenne des Satellites

Title: Hacking Linux Exposed, Second Edition

Hatch and crew do it again!!!

Well, this seems to be a fitting follow up to the Hacking Exposed 2nd edition that came out earlier in the year. For those of us who have already read through this series?/book, you know how good they are. This book clearly illustrates hacking methods without holding anything back. Everything is shown in plain view in easy to understand language. In addition, this book can be read by security beginners and experts alike. A great read all around!!!
