Title: The C++ Programming Language (Special 3rd Edition)
Publisher: Addison-Wesley Professional
Authors: Bjarne Stroustrup
Rating: 2/5
Customer opinion - 2 stars out of 5
Terrible writing style

Yes, all college kids praise this book as if this is the only book with detailed c++ info. First of all, this book contains plenty of information on C++. The contents of the book is very good. However, it is poorly organized and hard to understand because Bjarne's writing style is very very "passive" like the previous reviewer pointed out. Unfortunately, if you are serious about C++ programming, you have no choice but to read this and try to absorb as much as you can. No matter what level you are at, this is definitely not an easy read simply because its terribly written. So, don't feel stupid if you get stuck reading this book =)
The 3rd edition has added more new features of C++ compared to the 2nd edition but the writing style is still the same. Hopefully, Dr. Stroustrup will realize this and change his writing style abit. All in all, a pretty bad book, but you should read it anyway.

Learn PL/SQL is valued and rewarding experience

Listen Software Solutions:I like this book. Most of my questions occurred when I ran into a coding barriers, usually caused by a lack of PL/SQL understanding. This book will save you hours and reduce PL/SQL confusion. Remember, its costly to pursue incorrect or inefficient coding practices. Sometimes it may seem like your on the right path, but its helpful to get validation of the assumption. This book validates widely excepted PL/SQL coding standards and practices.
This book brings real-time stories and humor into technical explanations and illustrations. The book is a comprehensive composition of most of the Oracle 8i components. The book is well written and easy to understand. Its a great reference. If your a verbal learner, you'll like the book. Its rich in content.
Once you read the book, the tips and tricks will be helpful.

I swear by this book.

This is a excellent book whether you are learning perl (granted you have somewhat of a clue about programming in general), buffing up on your perl, or as a desktop reference. This book can very easily be the only perl book you will need in your collection.

Best C# book

I spent a lot of time at the bookstore reading through the many C# books now available, and this book is by far the best one.
It teaches you everything you need to know to go from complete beginner to expert in both C# and .NET programming. It also covers how to use the Visual Studio .NET tool.
I liked the no-nonsense and tightly focused style of the text. The two authors really know C# and .NET inside out, and it shows in this book.
