this book rocks for the novice javascript learner

I had to take an e-commerce web development class at school, and a basic knowledge of javascript was a prerequisite. I didn't know this until barely a week in advance, so I needed a book that "cut to the chase". It was a pleasant surprise that this tiny book delivered. Using the samples in this "cookbook", I got exactly what I wanted. If you are looking for something for beginners, this book is an excellent choice.

Really covers issues that programmers need to know

After reading other books I realize that they just don't have enough information. They cover the basics that most people can figure out. This books gives tips and information that you can't find anywhere else. While it has the basics on controls it spends time on Databases and more complex issues. Highly recommended

Dirk on PostgreSQL

Seems like this is a man & wife authoring team.
PostgreSQL by Korry & Korry is the most effective Linux & database instruction I've ever used. I bought it to get an overview of PostgreSQL- it did that well. Without intending to use this book to pick up admin tools and finally fathom certain security concepts, I did that too.
I've struggled with many Linux manuals, but this one pulled me along with eager interest.
