Title: The Photoshop and Painter Artist Tablet Book: Creative Techniques in Digital Painting
Publisher: Peachpit Press
Authors: Cher Threinen-Pendarvis

Excellent for both the advanced and beginning user!

I gave a passing thought that this book might not have much to offer me as I've been using Photoshop, Painter and a graphics tablet for a number of years. I was glad I ignored that passing thought as the book offers a wealth of information and examples for both the knowledgeable user and for those with minimal experience in Photoshop, Painter and graphic tablet use.

The author's writing style is informative, open and relaxed making for an inviting read.

There are numerous interesting and well thought out examples throughout the book along with excellent quick tips.

The author has taken the time to compare and contrast not only brushes available *within* Photoshop and Painter but also *between* Photoshop and Painter. Each sample image is created in both programs showing the individual brushes used which allows users to not only see what can be accomplished in each program but also showing those users who own only one of these programs what they can create within the program they use.

This book is an excellent addition to the library of both experienced and entry-level users.

Feuerstein is The Man

If you have a very narrow bookshelf or shallow pockets this is THE book to buy if you want to know more about PL/SQL. No matter how much you know already, this book will teach you more. I read the first edition from cover to cover and bought the second edition as a reference. I've been writing PL/SQL programs for more than 6 years and I still find this to be a valuable resource. Buy it today!

Title: Perl Cookbook, Second Edition
Publisher: O'Reilly
Authors: Tom Christiansen, Nathan Torkington
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
If you are serious about your perl, then you need this book.

In my opinion, the best Perl book from O'Reilly since the original "purple Camel." A must-have (or very nearly so) for anyone gaining proficiency in the language. I haven't studied it thoroughly enough to comment on the frequency of typos and other errors, but my overall impression is extremely favorable, and I'm pretty hard to please. :-) My only complaint is that it's another one of those books that is just too darn thick. But otherwise, good work indeed!

Good book Lacking Esential now in exam

Took the exam 19th October 2004, Failed. This book is great, but is laccking badly in 2 main areas now covered by the Exam.
RIP Version 2 and NAT/PAT. both these subjects are now in the exam and in ther heavly. OSPF is also now covered in more detail.

Good book, indepth coverage of the materials it covers but you need more to pass the exam.
